Current Must-Have Products

Sleep Pillow Mist: I have been a fan of sleep pillow mist since high school. It might be in my head, but I do really think it helps relax me for bedtime. I have always used Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Pillow Mist, but just recently went to buy more and the store I was in sold out— so I tried a new kind. I ended up buying the Black Chamomile Sleep Pillow Mist and actually like it even more than the Lavender Vanilla one! Both scents are extremely calming and are not strong at all. I have white pillow cases and don't worry, it doesn't stain! Aside from Pillow Mist, I highly recommend any item from Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy line. The Vanilla Rose scent (of any product) is also amazing!

Still on the topic of Bath & Body Works, I wanted to mention the Rose Water and Ivy Candle: I think I am probably the last one to jump on this train, but if I'm not, do yourself a favor and buy any and all Rose Water and Ivy scented products you can from Bath & Body Works. I don't think I have ever rushed to a store to buy something as fast as I did with this candle. I recently bought the candle after falling in love with the hand soap my friend had and I am so obsessed with this scent. The scent is fresh, clean, and relaxing— everything you need if you haven't already discovered this gem!

Speaking of scents, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Perfume is a must have summer perfume! I am a die hard fan of Chanel Mademoiselle and always will be, however, this is the first perfume that I personally think stands up against Chanel. If you're looking for a new scent, this one is perfect for summer since it is light and has a nice, sweet, flowery scent. In terms of its lasting effect, I find it stays just as well as Chanel throughout the day. Another favorite summer scent is Gucci Bloom. Fragrance notes for this perfume include rangoon creeper, jasmine, and tuberose. To be honest, this perfume is not super long lasting, and you do need to reapply it after a few hours. That being said, the scent is to die for and because of that, I still think it's worth it.

The next products we want to mention are by Mellow Cosmetics. The products in this line are cruelty free, paraben free, and vegan. We recently tried a few of their lip products and really loved them! Our favorites are the Matte Lipstick in Posh and the Liquid Lip Gloss in Palm Springs. We each got a different type of lipstick, liner, and gloss and all of the products are keepers! First off, we want to mention that the packaging of the products is very impressive and luxurious (without the luxury price tag). Both of these products are a pink-based nude shade and are nicely pigmented. The color pay off of both products is comparable with high end lip products. The lipstick is a matte formula, but isn't drying on the lips. The gloss isn't sticky, which is a major turnoff with a lot of glosses. Overall, both products are super comfortable to wear and look really nice paired together. Both are highly pigmented, what we have been loving is to line our lips, dab the lipstick on, and top with a light layer of the gloss! Barcelona Pulp Riot Toning Shampoo: I have tried every purple shampoo you can imagine over the last five years, and this is hands down the best. My stylist recommended this one to me about two months ago and I absolutely love it! I only wash my hair with purple shampoo one to two times a week since that's all I need to keep the blonde in my hair at a cool tone. This shampoo smells amazing, lathers really well, and does its job with minimal uses. It's not drying at all which is the problem I have with other toning shampoos. I would absolutely recommend giving this one a try.

Oribe Invisible Defense Protection Spray: While we're on the topic of hair, I have one other product that I started using at the same time as the Barcelona shampoo. While I don't put too much heat to my hair on a regular basis, I decided I wanted one heat protection product that I loved and that worked. I have been using the Oribe heat protection spray for a little over two months and love this product. It smells amazing, which was one of the main reasons I bought it in the salon. More importantly, it truly works— my last haircut was about nine weeks ago and I have been using this every time I used heat on my hair since then. Normally by now I would start noticing some damage on my ends, drying out, and split ends. My hair honestly feels exactly how it did the day I got it cut thanks to this product. Of note, I am using heat maybe once a week since there is no where to go so I am excited to see how this product holds up when I am styling my hair more regularly. It is on the pricey side at $44.00 but I found it to be worth every penny!

No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator: This exfoliator might be my new holy grail product. I purchased this after browsing reviews on a good quality drug store exfoliator, and I have to agree with all of the amazing reviews of this product. As I mentioned in my skincare routine post, exfoliating with brown sugar is a hack I've used for years, but I wanted to see what else was available. I use this once, maybe twice a week, and saw results after the first time using it. It leaves your skin glowing and has started to help with acne scarring I have on my cheeks (fading of acne scars has been gradual). If you're looking for a decently priced but highly effective exfoliator, I definitely recommend checking this one out.

Brita Premium Filtering Water Bottle: As we have mentioned on previous posts, we have been really increasing our water intake the last year. Because I have always loved Brita products, I recently bought this 26 oz filtering water bottle with BPA free filter. This water bottle has a straw with a covering which I love. The covering is nice because the straw can be covered while working out, having it on my desk at work, and in my cup holder in my car. The filter for this bottle should be changed every two months, which is fairly reasonable and it's all around a more environmental friendly way of always having filtered water on hand. It's a great price and comes in six colors!

This rounds up our must-have products as of lately! We'd love to hear what you think of the post and let us know what your must-have products are.
