Debevino Winery

Looking for a new place to check out? I highly recommend taking a trip to Walpole, MA to try Debevino Winery. I went for the first time last weekend with a few friends and I already can’t wait to go back. This winery is only 30 minutes from Boston and is a great destination when looking to get out of the city for an afternoon. Debevino is owned by three families from three different generations, which is really cool. The owner welcomed us the minute we walked in, asked if we had been there before, and gave us the run down on how things worked. He was extremely friendly and welcoming—exactly what you want when walking into a new place. You really got that family feel when at Debevino since the families are all working there. From asking if they could take a photo for us to chatting about the playlist, everyone we spoke to very personable.

Debevino offers indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere was really fun and they have a really cute set up. They have a stage where they have live music on certain days/nights. If you go to their website, it lists any upcoming events so you can plan around when they have entertainment! For example, this Sunday, July 11th, they have a country music and BBQ pop-up on the patio. The winery offers tastings every 90 minutes during their business hours. You can reserve a tasting online or they welcome walk ins based on availability.

We did a tasting of four wines that we chose from their list. I tried the Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and the Rose. I loved all four wines I tried. I am normally not a huge fan of Rose but I thought there's was really light and refreshing. After trying our samples we all ordered one of their wine slushies. I highly recommend trying these! The wine slushy is a layered, frozen slushy that they make using the Malbec for the red layers and Pinor Grigio for the white layers. This was the most refreshing and delicious drink I've tried all summer. We also got a few different charcuterie boards that were both delicious. Overall, I highly recommend heading over to Debevino and trying it out, I will definitely be back!
